Personal

Graduating dental school in 1968 as a general dentist I built a very successful dental practice. Eventually, suffering with headaches myself, I was made aware of the relationship of the temporomandibular joint and headache pain. Over the years, I have treated thousands of patients suffering with unresolved head, neck and jaw pain. In 2004, I began to realize that there was a correlation between TMJ and obstructive sleep apnea. I found that a great majority of TMJ patients had an underlying sleep apnea problem. With that, I have devoted my practice to treating patients that suffer with obstructive sleep apnea and TMJ utilizing dental appliances. At the time, the only appliances used were mandibular advancers or MAD appliances. As a dentist treating TMJ, I was concerned with the advancement of the mandible exacerbating pain in an existing TMJ patient or creating a TMJ problem for patients in general. This led me to developing the Full Breath Solution sleep appliance that does not advance the mandible. Since the inception of the Full Breath, it has evolved from a standard sleep appliance to the only dental sleep appliance that has the ability to deliver oxygen to a patient. This has been significant, especially for those that are intolerant to the CPAP. As mentioned above, The Full Breath has garnered 5 Patents and 5 FDA Certifications and has been highly successful in treating sleep apnea, snoring, and TMJ.
